Coimbatore: a soft coconut seller that attacked a friend and his acquaintance with a machete used to cut coconut was arrested for trying to kill in Dharapuram on Wednesday.
Police said the seller of the coconut, Shreedharan Natarajan, 41, from Nagapattinam, was fighting with his friend Ibrahim Syed, a driver of the Autorickshaw from Dharapuram, for the old rent that had not been paid.
“When the argument became serious, Ibrahim called his friend Ramesh and asked him to join,” said a police officer.
The argument occurred after Ramesh joined them and at some point, in anger, Shreedharan draw a hidden machete and began to hack Ramesh and Ibrahim.
Then he escaped from the place.
However, in a few hours the police arrested Shreedharan.
Ramesh and Ibrahim were treated at the Dharapuram government hospital, where his condition was stable, the officer said.
