Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Police on Thursday arrested the official Akhila Bharatha official Mahasabha for his hatred speech against the Muslim community.
S Premkumar aka Boxer Prem, 37, from Okkiliariary Street made a speech hatred during protests near the South Taluk Office on October 23 against demolition of temples in Bangladesh and attacks on Hinduism in the country.
Premkumar is Akhila Bharatha Hindu Mahasabha Regional President of Congkan Kongu.
The police competition course said Premkumar and 13 members of the organization gathered in front of the South Taluk office here without getting a previous permission from the police and protesting.
The police said while speaking to members of the right-wing organization, Premkumar targets the community.
His hatred speech can trigger tensions between the two communities in Coimbatore City, according to the police.
Protesters also failed to wear facemask and maintain social distance.
The police registered a case against the Premkumar below Section 143 (penalties for unlawful assembly), 269 (negligent actions tended to spread infection of dangerous diseases for life), 153A (1) (A) (promoting hostility between different religious groups, races, places Born, residence, language etc., and carry out perredudal actions for harmony maintenance) and 505 (2) (sudur statement for public damage) from the crazy Palan India.
He was returned in Judicial custody.
