Coimbatore: MLA AIADMK from Coimbatore Regency has accused that their party candidates for polls of urban local agencies harassed by election officials.
AIDMK MLAS was led by former Minister S Velumani, said several election officers asked written statements from candidates for urban polls stating that they did not have any position in rural local bodies while some insisted that the initials must be removed and not beginning.
This condition is not placed by the Election Commission, Velumani said.
The former minister along with eight other MLA AIADMK from Coimbatore Regency visited Collectorate to file a complaint.
