Coimbatore City Police Assess the Peak to Apply E-Governance

Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Police has become the first in Tamil Nadu in the past two months for effective e-governance implementation.
The police submitted more than 11,000 files through the e-office system in December 2021 and secured number one position in the state.
Director General of Police C Sylendra Babu has sent award certificate to Coimbatore City Police.
“Our goal is administration without paper.
So, city police have focused on e-governance for all activities,” said Pradip Kumar, Police Commissioner, Coimbatore City.
The Tamil Nadu government’s e-governance policy was released in 2017.
In accordance with this policy, the e-office suits were launched at the DGP office and all district police station, city police station and in all police departments gradually.
TNEGA (Tamil Nadu E-Governance Agency) is a nodal body that applies this package for all departments.
TNEGA has introduced an e-office, an application tool for carrying out office procedures electronically.
The e-office will enable electronic file management systems to dispose of fast files, resulting in better use of labor, thus avoiding delays and leading to better governance.
The purpose of the e-office is to eliminate paper use and to make the most electronic office communication.
Police officials said that the e-office was a web-based application where a separate log was given to the rank of minister staff (junior assistant, supervisor, administrative officer).
They can enter the e-office application and upload detailed transfer, leave, medical leave, medical leave, weapon licenses, and others.
The e-file will reach authority that agrees to each (Police Commissioner, Deputy Police Commissioner (Police Headquarters or police supervisor, additional police supervisor) for permission.
The advantage of the e-office application is speed.
It will reduce the time of delay and all files can shared through the application and it will achieve headquarters from various cities or rural police soon.
“This application helps transparency.
Officers can monitor file details from one place and can check the course of files with whom.
This helps increase the speed and work efficiency,” said Pradip Kumar , e-office system was introduced in Coimbatore City police in March 2020.
DGP Office announced in October 2021 that the first three rankings will be taken.
to account every month based on the number of files that are removed by the Office of the Commissioner of police and a police superintendent from November 2021.
” We have archived 9975 files in the e-office application for November and 11316 files on December 2021.
The city police have placed the top rank at the state level to implement e-governance successfully, “Pradip Kumar said.
Police Commissioner Pradip Kumar and Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters) Selvaraj handed over the DGP appreciation certificate to minister staff on Friday.
