Chennai: Coimbatore Corporation will conduct a Cyctothon to the public on Sunday to commemorate the 75th Independence Day.

Only registered people will be allowed to take part, officials said.
People can also register on the Smart City website www.coimbatoresmartcity.org.
The Cyctothon will begin on Jalan DB at 6 am and will end at 10 am.
Seventy-five young champions will be selected that day.
The cycle repair center will open.
Then at night, drawing competition for children and their caregivers will be done at Kumarasamy Lake.
A corporate official said that the commemoration of the 75th Independence Day was carried out as a three-day celebration, which began on Friday.
The road safety awareness meeting was carried out in various places in the city for schools and students on Friday.
A total of 75 puppies will be planted at Lake Kumarasamy between 9am and 11am on Saturday.
This event is planned to create sensitization to make roads safer for pedestrians and cyclists, the official said.
The integrated Command and Control Center has been designated as part of the Smart City scheme in Coimbatore City.
The central features and use will be explained to the public in the auditorium at Puram Hospital between 3 pm and 5 pm, he added.
