Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation plans to vaccinate the elderly and different people in front of their door to ensure inclusive coverage of Covid-19 vaccination.
The Civic Body has released a telephone number that will be contacted by people who need a vaccine on the doorway.
People can contact 0422-2302323 or 9750554321 to register for themselves.
A health department official said the list of people who have submitted a request will be recorded in the registry.
He said that they had not compiled data about the number of parents and different people available in the city.
He said that the Civic body was ready to serve a number of people.
There will be a left dose at the end of each vaccination camp.
The left dose will be used to vaccinate the elderly people and swing differ from the nearest area.
“We will sort out requests received from people based on the distance of each urban primary health center so that the remaining doses can be collected and used for them.
There are 32 urban primary health centers in the city,” he said.
Vaccination in front of the door will begin at the end of mega vaccination planned on Sunday.
It has been planned to vaccinate 82,000 people through 336 camps.
The remaining dosage of the camp will be used to vaccinate the registered people, health officials added.
