Coimbatore: Commissioner Coimbatore Corporation King Gopal Sunkara instructed health workers involved in the door-to-door survey for Covid-19 symptoms must also examine workers who work in industrial units, in their accommodation to prevent the spread of infection between them.
The Commissioner met door-to-door surveyors in the North Zone on Friday.
He said the details of those who had symptoms must be registered in the appropriate registry.
They must be done to undergo a Covid-19 test.
The names of people who have tested positive must be included.
Covid-19 control room and sanitation officers from each zone must be informed.
While checking Covid-19 symptoms, health workers must also create awareness about diseases spread by mosquitoes.
Residents must be asked to keep their environment clean by getting rid of things that can accommodate water.
This will remove the breeding room.
Commissioner examined Nagar Park Seenivasa and instructed workers who treated him to check the temperature before letting people enter.
People without masks should not be permitted, he said.
He interacted with the residents of the area and listened to their complaints.
He appealed to them to dispose of garbage after separating biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste.
