Coimbatore: Sri Suba, who expects a baby in the next 10-15 days, trapped when his colleagues threw a baby shower for him in the office on Monday.
Only four days ago, Sri Suba joined the Junior Assistant at the Sarkarsamakulam Block Development Office.
When he was in the third trimester of his pregnancy, Sri Suba would leave maternity leave from Tuesday.
Fifteen employees of women in the office organized baby shower for him by doing rituals and presenting gifts.
Assistant Collector Said Ramachandran, who visited the officer as part of his training, took a photo of the Function of the Baby Shower and posted it on social media.
The photos became viral with more than 1,500 likes and 130 retweets like on Tuesday night.
The Dhanalakshmi block development officer said that it was the first pregnancy of Suba Sri and it was an important part of every woman’s life.
“We did an event to bless him by putting his bracelet and Kumkum.
We also bought fruit and candy,” he said.
