Coimbatore: Police to get all public buildings to install CCTVs

Coimbatore: Police Commissioner Pradip Kumar has instructed the assistant commissioner and police inspector to merek the commercial building owner to install CCTV cameras in their place, as a measure of evil prevention.
“The state government has issued orders to make it mandatory for public and personal buildings to install CCTV cameras.
I have asked police officers to collect the details of the building at their stations limit, sensitive owners and take steps needed to install CCTV cameras in their place.
There should be a camera facing the road too, “said City Top Cop.
City Police Commissioner has sent a memorandum to all ACP and police inspectors (law & order) in this case on December 4 and instructs them to send progress reports to the city crime record bureau every Tuesday in the Pacific format.
“Officers must update us about the number of public buildings with a functional CCTV camera, weekly progress to install CCTV cameras and the number of buildings that have not been borne.
We will review the same every week,” said Pradip Kumar.
Referring to the government’s orders, he said CCTV cameras must be installed in all public buildings, commercial companies and places where large meetings occur, as a condition for issuing licenses under the relevant provisions of the rules of the city / city company.
Public buildings mean any building, where people have access to any purpose and are used as schools, colleges, universities or other similar educational institutions, hostels with more than 100 people, hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacies, clinics and maternity centers , etc.
