Chennai: Tata Consultation Services has announced the winner of the National Final TCS IT WIZ 2021, the quiz competition between national schools.
The TCS IT Wiz Championship title goes to Sandeep Murugesh from the St Judes Public School and Junior College, Coimbatore.
He was awarded the trophy along with a gold medal, winning certificate and gift voucher.
Runner up from the national final, Mustafa Ahmed from small school, Telangana, receiving trophies, silver medals, gift vouchers and certificates.
Another finalist is Smitendu Dutta from DPS Ruby Park, Kolkata, Krishang Nigam from Navrachana School, Vadodara, Dhyan Vyas from National Public School, Bengaluru, and Kanishka Deora from St Anthony Senior Secondary School, Udaipur.
In the 23rd and fully digital edition, TCS IT Wiz witnessed the participation of more than 12,700 class 8-12 students from all over the country.
Of these, 96 participants qualified for the quarter-finals and 24 reached the semi-finals to compete for places among the top six in the national final.
Starting in 1999, the quiz aims to build awareness and emphasize the importance of IT skills and allow students to see technology from a holistic perspective.
