Coimbatore: Thudiangur police arrested a 36-year-old woman and her Paramour on Saturday for killing her husband three days ago.
The people arrested were identified as R Reena and Sathish, 39, from Ambedkar Nagar in Kavundampalayam.
Reena married King, 36, an electrician, 12 years ago, said a police officer.
“The king, an alcoholic, will often fight with him.
After the fight on December 22, Reena told her relatives that the king died of alcohol overdose,” he said.
Annam Inspector found bruise in the deceased’s neck.
The police sent the body to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
Postmortem’s report revealed that the king was strangled to death.
When faced with evidence, Reena claimed the murder.
“He admitted that he killed his husband with his relative help with saying, with whom he was having an affair.
The king, who knew about the affair two years ago, has warned the duo.
However, they continued their relationship,” the officer added.
