Mumbai: Lawyers and 53-year-old filmmakers from Colaba have been arrested on charges of sexual striker a student aged 17 years under the pretext of giving him modeling and fashion industry.
The defendant described himself as an independent editor, legal counsel and documentary maker and prominently in social media channels.
Colaba police have ordered it under the IPC 354A section (violence or criminal to women with the intention of being angry in humility) and under the tight protection of children from the acts of sexual violations (Pocso).
He will be produced before the Pocso Court is special on Saturday.
On January 7, the girl was at a pizza restaurant in collaps with her mother to celebrate her uncle’s birthday when the man approached them.
He introduced himself, praising the girl in his appearance and said he could make a career for him in the world of glamorous fashion and modeling.
He shared his cellphone number and asked them to meet him in his office on the pasta lane in Colaba, said the complaint was submitted by the girl’s mother.
The next day, when the complainant and his daughter went to the defendant’s office, he showed them glossy images of various models and convinced them that teenagers would bring them prosperity and make a tremendous career.
He asked him to join the next day.
On January 9, when the girl reached her office, she made her try some different clothes.
Then, he knew that he had installed a CCTV camera in a changing room, he was asked to use it.
Colaba police said they had confiscated CCTV cameras and recordings from the Defendant’s office and further investigation were ongoing.
The complaint said the man asked him to get his scooter and stranded at various shooting locations.
During that time, he touched it inappropriately.
The girl told the police that she also surprised her by asking about the specific size of her chest and other body parts.
