Kolkata: Five days after a 16-year-old teenager was killed in Palmer Bazar in the term, the police arrested three young men and also held back the minor in connection with the crime.
The defendant has been identified as Ashis Soni (18), a resident of train quarter near Barnar Kal, Sudhir Kumar (22) and Rahul Yadav (18) from Buyaghata Road.
“One teenager too, has been detained.
The defendant will be tried for murder,” said CP together (crime) Murlidhar Sharma.
They will be produced in court on Thursday.
The victim, Mohammed Sonu from Tiljala, has gone with two friends near NRS Hospital on November 13.
Suddenly, several locals shouted “Chor, Chor” (thieves).
Hearing that, Sonu and his friends looked panicked and they tried to escape from that place.
The defendant chased them and stopped them in Palmer Bazar and attacked teenagers who gave up on his injury.
Kin Sonu said he went to buy vegetables from the Coley market in Seordah.
They suspected it was a planned murder because he objected to drinking drinking in the regions.
