Bulletin IMD said at least 14 places in the state saw the temperature down to less than 10 degrees Celsius.
At 11.2 degrees Celsius, the city saw a drop of five degrees in temperature.
At 9 degrees Celsius, Angul recorded the steepest temperature decline (six degrees) in the state.
The city of the Head Office of Phulbani and Hill Daring Station, each of which is the coldest in the state of six degrees Celsius.
The IMD has estimated that there will be no concessions from such conditions until Monday morning.
