Cold weather opportunity to increase immunity: doctor

Nagpur: City have witnessed a sudden decline at the minimum temperature of the day in the last three days.
After Covid-19, people are more alert about problems related to their health after each season changes.
The decline in the sudden temperature has increased worries for many people.
However, the doctor suggests that healthy people must use this period to increase their immunity.
Patients with diseases such as asthma and arthritis, can change seriously due to cold; Doctors have some general tips for maintaining health because cold waves are set to stay here for more than a week.
Doctors have insisted that people have to continue their routine, especially daily roads, sports, and yoga without failing when cold.
“Go to laziness and continue your daily schedule.
Walk, run, cycling, other exercises, and yoga in cold weather keeping your body warm and also maintaining immunity,” said the doctor Dr.
Anu Vishwas.
Eat right when cold is also important, he added.
“As soon as the cold wave enters, we can see more patients with coughing, viral infections, colds, cold, and flu.
But, this is a seasonal problem and everything cannot be connected with Covid-19,” General Physician said Dr.
Sudesh Bhakre .
Not many doctors advise RT-PCR to every patient with seasonal symptoms, he said.
“We used to advise people to do the test in December (in 2020).
This year, we request a vaccination status first and then the history of the trip.
Not every cough and cold is Covid-19,” he added.
Dr.
Nitin Shinde’s infectious disease said that winter brought up in the case of Covid-19 in Europe but the picture was not the same in India.
“Our cold is moderate compared to Europe so it’s not cold weather will increase infection.
We must continue to follow the appropriate Covid behavior,” he said.
Rheumatologist Dr.
Smruti Ramteke said that many patients with arthritis found themselves in a difficult situation because it was cold.
“After treatment and your regular training schedule help you stay fit even when it’s cold.
Regular exercise and physiotherapy are a must during the winter,” he said.
Vaidya Swanand Joshi said that cold increases pain and respiratory problems.
“Abhyanga (medicinal oil massage) is the best for conditions such as joint pain, joint stiffness and strengthening healthy muscles,” he said.
Procedures such as Nasya (put 2-3 drops of ghee or oil in the nostrils) useful for people with dry nose, chronic cough, or even headaches because of cold wind exposure.
“Someone must avoid steam harvest because it might add drought to the respiratory tract,” he said.
