Panaji: The average minimum temperature in the first 13 days of January has been lower than the last two years – 2020 and 2021 and the cave has witnessed a cold winter morning.
The data distributed by the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) revealed that the minimum temperature was below normal above the cave from 5 to 16 January, so far.
But there are also cold winter reduction opportunities after January 16, according to IMD observations.
Increased minimum temperature of 0.5 degrees Celsius is recorded more than Goa on Sunday.
This trend tends to win for two to three days after there is a possibility of a minimum temperature increase compared to the current value by two to three degrees Celsius.
The IMD has expected a minimum reduction of temperatures from January 20 and so on, depending on the prevailing wind direction.
“Wind direction of numerical weather prediction shows that the North Wind components win in the last week, which has now turned into an easterlies component.
The minimum temperature will increase from existing values and normal temperatures in the Panaji can settle at 21 to 22 degrees Celsius in a few days Next, “said IMD scientist Rahul M.
The lowest minimum temperature recorded so far this season was 17.2 degrees Celsius recorded on January 12.
“Compared to the first 13 days the previous year’s temperature, the average value of this year’s minimum temperature saw a difference of almost four degrees Celsius.
As a result, this January was felt cooler than last year,” Rahul said.
There is a possibility that the rural region of Goa may experience cooling temperatures compared to the coastal area of the country, said IMD.
