New Delhi: Delhi Police have registered a case against unknown people after part of the automatic multilevel parking facility at Green Park here, which was inaugurated by Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) in November last year, fainted, officials said on Wednesday.
After the incident on Tuesday night, the Mayor of SDMC had also ordered an investigation.
A senior Delhi police officer said, “On Tuesday, we registered a case under the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) Part 336 (acting to endanger the life or personal safety of others) and 427 (damage causing damage to the number of Rs 50) to people An unknown .
“Thorough technical analysis is being carried out based on the next action will be taken,” he said.
Officials have claimed that there were no victims or damage to the car reported in the incident, while the AAM AADMI Party (AAP) accused several damaged cars.
“The car is parked on a platform in the automatic parking lot.
Because of some technical errors, one platform or plate of tower number 3 on the eighth floor of the parking facilities collapsed.
It was not the main incident.
No one injured whatever car was damaged,” said Mayor of SDMC Mukesh Suryan has told PTI.
He said strict actions would be taken against the guilty.
The automatic stack parking facility was inaugurated in November last year by Lieutenant Governor of Baijal and the Minister of Union RK Singh along with senior SDMC officials.
The 17-storey multilevel automatic parking near the Green Park metro station, was built at a cost of Rs 18 Crore, inaugurated in November last year.
As many as 136 cars, including 32 SUVs, can be parked.
