Ghaziabad: Collection Agent with a private company allegedly robbed Rs 5 lakh at gunpoint by unknown attackers at Sahibabad.
The police said the complainant, Nitin Baari (32), worked with Rithik companies based in Delhi, who deal with food products and also provided small banknotes to traders throughout the NCR.
On Monday night, Nitin raised money from several agents in Raj Nagar’s extension and returned to his house in Delhi on his scooter.
When he reached the Karthera cut near Mohan Nagar, four attackers on two motorbikes suspected of intercepting him, took him to a remote place in Gunpoint, struggling and grabbed his bag containing cash.
“They stopped me in the middle of the road and said I was driving zigzag.
One of them put a gun into my head while others slapped me.
They kept asking for my address.
After taking my bag, they threatened me with a terrible consequence if I approached the police,” Alleged nitin.
Gyanendra Singh, SP (City 2), said the police scan CCTV recording recovered from the area.
“The defendant had done a reception.
Two teams have been formed to arrest them,” he added.
On the basis of complaints, FIR was registered against an unknown person under the Indian Criminal Code Section 392 (robbery) at the Sahibabad Police Station.
