College conducts practical class in advance

Mangaluru: Anticipating major disruptions in the classroom and inspection schedule because of the third wave of pandemic, some undergraduate and postgraduate graduate colleges in the region have advanced practical classes, which are held at the end of the course, or after the class theory.
This is a new strategy adopted by college, after learning from past experiences.
During the days before the pandemic, practical classes are usually done after the theory class ends.
However, it is now held simultaneously.
“When classes must be held online during the first wave, we have a difficult time, and cannot resist short-term examinations, because practical classes are not held.
Checking must be done only after physically allowing students to complete their practical classes, which Cannot be held online.
Learning from our past mistakes, we decided to hold practical classes as soon as the college is opened.
In terms of closure, online classes can be held for theory subjects.
Practical classes are held for science, and some A collection of art students, “said Sister M Venissa, Principal, St Agnes College.
“It becomes an easy transition if the college must switch to online classes, and checks can be held after the physical class continues,” said Venissa.
“Because of the Pandemic situation, we have now asked the faculty to conduct a practical class immediately after completing two classes of theory.
Performing practical classes simultaneously saves a lot of time, and helps overcome uncertainty, such as shifting to online classes suddenly.
We have also done All practical tests, “said other college management.
A faculty member from a private college added that they had completed practical classes in December last year, and classes finished a few days ago.
“During the first lock, we have a hard time, and are under a lot of pressure to complete practical classes.
The test cannot be held without it.
However, this time we feel relieved, because practical classes have been completed at the beginning,” Sharing Faculty member.
More colleges turned to online mode with Covid-19 cases increased, as a precautionary measure, many universities now completely switch to online learning mode.
The latest institution to do this is St Aloysius College, the decision needed on Thursday.
