Colombia destroyed Mary Komom’s dream at the Swansong Olympics

Mary Kom was restless but her face was empty, sweat dripping following a tiring duel.
He might expect the announcer in Tokyo’s Ryogoku Kokating Arena to announce his name as a winner.
But, that doesn’t happen.
After realizing that his dream won another Olympic medal was over, Mary hugged her opponent Ingrit Valencia and raised Colombian’s arm.
For a moment to enjoy, indeed – Rio 2016 Olympic bronze medal (Valencia) embraced the winner of the London 2012 Olympic Bronze (Mary).
Heart-heart after fight.
“Some sports have legend, boxing has Mary Kom,” said the commentator when emotions ran high.
The crowd of Motley in the cheering arena for Mary, 38, when she left the hall.
The needs of the 16th of Thursday became the last at the Olympics as the International Boxing Association (AIBA) did not allow boxers over the age of 40 to compete in the Olympics.
It was Mary’s dream to win another medal at the Olympics, especially gold.
“I have all the medals in my hand.
It’s not easy to count it.
What’s left is the Olympic gold medal.
It made me and pushed me to continue,” he said after winning the first round.
The dream was destroyed by the smallest margin.
The 38-year-old boy looked tired in the last few moments of the third round and finally.
That thought made him go to go for Jugulary but the body didn’t want to.
His punch, Jabs, the cross seemed to touch the thin air.
In the last 90 seconds, Mary mostly avoided, trying not to get hit.
He has chosen a safer route, hoping his body to work in the second half and the third beginning will help him.
But you can’t leave anything for the opportunity at the Olympics.
It’s about staying steadfast for three rounds, more than nine minutes – a total of 540 seconds – where every thing and every second is important.
One clean hit, one aggressive combination, one energy burst, and Mary will land in the quarter-finals of the 51kg category.
The Scorine – 3-2 in Valencia’s help – is all about what Argentina can have or Judge Kazakh who is given a point to Maria instead of Colombia.
What would be Rankle Mary was her won two of the three rounds but still lost the fight.
However, the bitter loss does not take the luster of six Mary World Championships, five Asian championships, 2014 Austrian, and 2018 Gold Commonwealth medal.
The Olympic bronze in London still maintains the crazy.
“Only admiration and respect for Mary Kom,” The only gold medalist individual Olympics Abhinaav Bindra summarized well.
“Extraordinary efforts by living legends.
Mary Kom forever,” Mahesh Bhupathi echoed the minds of most Indians.
“I think I’ll be back with a medal.
I don’t believe that I lost the match,” said Mary who was confused, while interacting with the media after a pre-quarter-final battle.
There are many things that don’t run according to the plan all the time – even for the great ones.
Don Bradman could not finish with the 100 test career when he was dismissed because of zero in his last round.
Andre Agassi lost to Benjamin Becker in the third round of the 2006 US Open as he headed to retirement.
Mary, however, there is no atmosphere for retirement.
“I’ll take a break after returning (to India), spending time with my family.
But I don’t stop.
If there is a competition, I will continue and try my luck,” he said.
Whatever the future sees it for him, he will always remain an extraordinary Mary Indian.
