COLOR: Muslim children go to school at the learning temple

Kolkata: Education destroyed all religious barriers in Central Kolkata on Monday morning as 26 students – from pre-pratama to class IV, many of the Muslim communities – walk to the temple times to attend them.
As part of the Open-Air Post Covid class outside the school classrooms initiated by the state, 26 pre-pratama class students for class IV from the main part of Taltala High School, Sri Krishna Chandra Adarsha Vidyalaya and Sishu Siksha Kendra – about 90% of them become Muslim, started the first day of their school after Covid for two years in the place of Sri Haro Gouri, Mandir at Haro Kumar Tagore Square in Taltala from Monday.
“The old man was a little worried at first.
Some of them approached me asking how they could enter the temple but we understood that education was above every religion and religious building and looking for their cooperation in continuing classes in the best places available with us.
Parents agree and more importantly, the children are very optimistic to return to school, “said Namrata Bandyopadhyay, a responsible venue.
Those responsible for the Manning Temple are also open for ideas and welcoming children with open weapons when they spread carpets stored in the temple office for worshipers during Kalipuja held at the temple and arranging water for children and teachers.
“We can see the fate of the children trapped at home and cannot go to school.
How can we say no godly idea to turn the place into an emergency school? Not a problem of which religion comes from children,” said an official Temple, where a priest also holds a daily puja ritual with the area where children attend classes.
Bandyopadhyay said he was seeking help from local council members for open spaces after the state government floated the idea of Paray Shikhalaya.
“We begged for a room with a warehouse so that children were uncomfortable during hot or rain.
This temple is the best place we offer and we reach it,” he said.
According to the class schedule it will be held in place every day between 10:30 a.m.
and 3.30 a.m.
with one hour gap during the day when lunch will be served to children.
On Monday, six teachers from three schools taught them lessons in English, Bengali and personal hygiene.
“Even the moments before sending my child to the temple to attend class, I was a little hesitant.
I don’t know how the temple authorities will react to us.
But we feel comforted at the reception.
My child can’t attend the class correctly during the online session .
I’m glad he’s finally able to attend offline classes in the middle of friends and teachers, “said Nazma Parveen, mother of third-grade students Nasrin him.
Nikita begum, the mother of other class III students share the same vibration.
“This is a unique concept and will definitely help our children to understand the value of religious harmony in addition to the usual research,” he said.
The students were the most excited when they tasted classmates, sitting beside them, examining gong bells and other artifacts in the temple before the teachers began today’s lessons with national anthem and respect for singers five Mangeshkar who died on Sunday.
“This is the first time I stepped into a temple.
This is similar to the mosque and I enjoy studying here and meeting friends and teachers,” said Class II students Nafisa Ali.
Other students such as Aarav Gupta from class II and Mohd Alhem from my class are also happy to attend classes on Monday.
“It’s a unique concept and we like it,” Alhem said.
