COLS: 2020 in mind, hospital prepares Infra

Kolkata: Even as a positive case Covid-19 daily has floated around the 700 mark for almost two months now, Kolkata has seen a little uptick in Caseload.
The doctor captured a sharper surge because the city was getting closer to celebrating his biggest festival.
Hospitals throughout the city have begun to get ready to deal with patients in the event of a surge.
“Last year, Covid’s positive cases began to increase a few days before Durga Puja and swelled posting festivals.
We understand the similar situation again.
Therefore, we increase our readiness, including storing essential drugs, consumables and RT- kits PCR, “said CEO of Peerless Hospital Sudipta Mitra.
Last year, of 2,000-plus daily cases throughout the state, the number began to rise to the front of the festival.
It reached 3,000 in early October and rose to 4,000 during and posted the festival, the first wave peak.
“We have seen a slight increase even though the number is not worrying.
Given the possibility of further increase, we hold regular meetings to improve facilities in the event of a sudden leap.
Experienced with two waves of pandemics, we are more confident to change teeth,” said Amri Hospitals Group CEO of Rupak CEO Barua.
The RN Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (RTIICS) currently has 25 covid patients, seven in critical care, which almost doubled from a week ago.
“If the number continues to increase, we will improve our facilities.
Because infrastructure is available, we can convert more non-covid beds to Covid beds quickly and our medical team is ready to handle the situation,” said Head of the Narayana Health Region (East ) R Venkatesh.
Ruby General Hospital has installed additional LMO tanks and is preparing a list of names of workers to avoid any crisis.
“In mid-October, we will get 40 extra beds on our new wing, which we pressed to serve if the similar surge we witnessed around last year’s celebration,” said Subhasish Datta, Head of General Manager (Operations) in Ruby.
“There is a third wave hypothesis around October / November.
With a celebration in front, many people tend to shop.
But we must remember to stick to the behavior of the appropriate Covid,” said a specialist of Sayan Chakraborty’s infectious disease from Amri.
Although the potential for surge in front, doctors are banks in good vaccination coverage in the city.
