Kolkata: Bars and restaurants in the city watch the best weekend on 3 and 4 July since relaxation starting from June 15.
There are footsteps that are better than the last few weekends as public transportation and taxi applications.
Opening more offices with higher number of employees also contributed to numbers.
The government allows bars and restaurants to remain open only until 8pm and serve only 50% of capacity.
But because of transportation restrictions and most offices operate with only 25% of employees, footsteps remain low.
President of the Association of East Indian hotels and restaurants (Hraei) Sudesh Poddar, which has restaurants such as Songhay and Manthan, “Saturday was very good and there was also waiting around 18:30 for dinner.
The week is also very good for lunch and dinner.
We are.
Hope the next 15 days will be better, “he said.
The owner of Peter Cat and Mocambo, Nitin Kothari, showed that opening public transportation and office had made a big difference.
“There is a queue for lunch at my restaurant on Sunday.
People wait for lunch starting at 1pm and Saturdays also many people come early for dinner,” he added.
Syed Anwar Azim of India Restaurant shows that sales have increased by 20% despite bad weather.
“We expect footsteps to take further in the next few days,” he added.
Director Aminia Kabir Azhar said that the business this weekend is good but it would be better if there was no further limit on the outskirts such as Jessore Road, recently.
The owner of Moulin Rouge, Floriana, Magnolia at Park Street, Charles Mantosh has a very good business this Saturday.
On Thursday, Friday, he showed that lunch was very good but dinner was affected after the rain.
“I think August will be much better,” he added.
“The capacity is reduced.
When transportation returns, many staff also rejoin,” added the owner of Mio Amore and KK’s Fusion, Pradip Rozario.
Pratap Daryanani from Oasis Restaurant at Park Street said, “We want to run our business to keep the safety of everyone in mind.
We began to vaccinate our staff in April itself and many received the second dose of their vaccines.”
