Guwahati: The Gahati High Court on Monday allows the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) to hold a combined competitive exam (electricity), 2020 without language papers.
The court heard a number of petitions related to language papers that qualified in Assam’s civil service exam.
However, APSC has been directed not to hold the final election of candidates without court permission.
“The court has directed APSC to conduct a test without language paper.
It states that the final election of the candidate must be subject to the results of the petition,” said Pankaj Pratim Dutta, advocate to the Petitioner in the writing petition submitted by Bondita Borp.
The High Court heard pills submitted by Siddhartha Sarmah and Three Writ Petitions separately submitted by Navin Kumar Ray, Bonani Priya Rajkonwar and Bondita Borah.Aerlier in December last year, the court has passed two consecutive orders in this matter.
On December 10 last year, the court heard a letter petition that challenged the Rules of APSC CCE, which had made language papers that qualified must be released in several districts.
It directs the commission to hold the CCE test (heads), 2020 without language paper.
The following week, the court heard pills that submitted by Sarmah challenged the decision of the state government and looked for directions to the Assam authorities strictly to attend Assam officials.
