Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin on Tuesday asked the state university to evolve only to share titles to research institutions and produce more discoveries.
He also urged them to introduce new courses in areas that appear such as data science, cyber security, artificial intelligence, social engineering, digital marketing, economic behavior and theory of the game.
“All new courses and degrees in foreign countries must be introduced at the University of Nadu Tamil,” he said.
Stalin spoke after inaugurating the Tamil Nadu unmanned air vehicle company and one Megawatt Surya plant for Madurai Kamaraj University.
He said the corporation has become an example for technological innovation in TN.
Citing the use of drones in the police in the state, he said drones could be useful in mining surveys, disaster management and take pictures of the sky, among others.
“The need for drones increases every day.
I congratulations on the faculty and students at the Aerospace Research Center on the MIT campus of Anna University to design and develop drones,” Stalin said.
