Nagpur: Comments are divided between sexes on whether to add SSC (Std X) marks while tabulating final score for HSC (Std XII) that was cancelled this year because of this pandemic.
All these differences of opinions came from the open through an internet match on Sunday between professors from throughout the country and the education section.
The assembly by faculty instruction minister Varsha Gaikwad was a part of this continuing procedure to take inputs from several stakeholders before placing the policy about the best way best to compute marks to HSC.
Ashok Gavhankar, general secretary of Vidarbha Junior College Teachers Association (VJTA), stated complete that the conversation had been’fruitful’ but nevertheless clarity is required on the vital element of on the foundation for tabulating marks.
Gavhankar stated,”Throughout the meetingwe encouraged the inclusion of SSC marks for HSC tabulation.
This is since SSC has been the previous test that was fairly assessed by outside examiners.
I am not stating that inner examinations are finished satisfactorily, but through SSC, there’s a level-playing discipline because query documents are prepared by a particular committee.
Subsequently evaluation is carried out by unknown externals, so the possibility of a prejudice is ruled out” He added that resistance to addition of SSC marks came out of several professors in western Maharashtra.
“Many from Kolhapur and Pune districts believed that there wasn’t any requirement to add SSC marks as a test was completed in Std XI if there wasn’t any Covid-19.
They consider that inner appraisal of Std XI and all these evaluations conducted throughout Std XII are the grade for both HSC marks tabulation,” explained Gavhankar.
But earth reality in specific sections of Vidarbha isn’t conducive to this kind of policy,” feels Gavhankar.
“As it was my turn to talk, ” I pointed out in areas like Gadchiroli, there are several pupils who have yet to be in a position to attend online courses and therefore, there is no possibility of them becoming appraised.
Thus, with SSC as a reference solves multiple issues and offers us a solid foundation for arriving at a policy that’s just and honest,” he further added.
