Vadodara: Even during the difficult times of Covid-19, the biggest faculty student at the University of Universities – the Faculty of Trade – has received placements through career counseling and placement cells (CCPC).
This year, more than 70 students have been offered an annual package of RS 3.5 Lakh (the cost to the company).
Because offline placement is not possible, CCPC connects students and industry by launching a unique portal.
“This technology-based initiative to connect students and industry for recruitment was taken in March 2021,” said Faculty Dean Professor Ketan Upadhyay.
“More than 2,000 students are registered on the portal and around 700 students attend orientation and interviews.
Students are happy to get the opportunity to face interviews and n9early 160 selected,” he said.
“Nielsen IQ and QX Global offer a RS 3.5 lakh CTC package (fee for companies) to students.
They rented a record of more than 70 students.
Almost, 35 students were also chosen in AIS business solutions,” he said.
Companies such as QX Global, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Chola MS General Insurance Companies participated in the first round of placement in April.
