Communication Science Center to be arranged in Nish

Thiruvananthapuram: The First Kerala Research Center in Communication Sciences (CRCS) will soon be opened at the National Institute of Speech and Widding (Nish).
This center seeks to improve holistic care and defective community rehabilitation.
Complete CRC has been designed as a facility for higher learning and research by combining laryngeal science and articulation and vestibular science laboratories to bring qualitative changes in human life with communication disorders.
The CRC research program will focus on empowering people with communication disorders by helping them actively participate in society, in addition to developing the method of maintenance and leading extensive and deep research to evaluate treatment results.
“CRCS is the first advanced research unit that fills the emptiness in the research of communication science in Kerala.
Nish by eminen equipped to have this center, given the experience of institutions, facilities and professionals who are very qualified needed,” said Executive Director Nish M Anjana.
The center will utilize the latest technology to measure sound characteristics, clarity of speech, and directly monitor vocal cords through high-precision tests conducted in laryngeal science laboratories and articulation, which utilizes stroboscopy with advanced analytical features and software such as ling waves and vaghmi.
The technology available in the field will help check the wrong pronunciation, sound variations and differences in the vocal cord structure.
Also, structural and functional changes in the organs that lead to difficulties in feeding and speech clarity can be identified through stroboscopy; which can be done for children and adults.
