Mumbai: More than 40,000 commuters that are not vaccinated or have only taken a single dose captured because of traveling tickets in the suburban network since August 15 and almost Rs 1 Crore in the fine recovered from them, officials said.
The rules only allow them to have a double vaccine to travel by local trains 14 days after their second shot, by graduating monthly season.
Only in a week after the rules relaxed, there are 3 general commuter lakh with a double vaccine traveling using a pass.
The passenger rights groups demanded that the train also publish daily tickets to being fully vaccinated.

In Cr, the average number of passengers captured without a ticket per day since August 15 reached 2,348 compared to 1,450 passengers per day between August 1 and August 14.
August 13, 167 passengers were arrested without a ticket.
WR was collected by RS 34.12 Lakh from these offenders.
In the period August 15 to August 21, almost 4,622 passengers were arrested from whom Rs 12.05 lakh was collected as a penalty.
A WR official said, “On average, 40 passengers were more captured without a ticket per day since the train travel opened for people who were fully vaccinated from August 15.
Before August 15, the average number of passengers captured without a ticket reached 610 per day .
“The train has so far been restored more than Rs 8 Crore in a fine of Ticketless travelers since April.
Gupta said he would submit a petition to the government to enable them in the 18-44 age group to travel with a single dose vaccine because they had a “higher immunity” than those over 45 years old.
“We are strict when it comes to wearing a fine on travelers without a ticket.
