New Delhi: As the Congress leader who was attacked by BJP Salman Khurshid accused comparing Hindutva with the Jihad organization, the Ghulam Veteran Congress Nabi Azad burdened the controversy by the red flag colleague for the comparison of “factually wrong”.
Azad said, “We may not agree with Hindutva as a different political ideology of the Hindu composite culture, but compare it with ISIS and Islamic jihadists in factually wrong and excessive.” The alleged comparison was from the book by the former Minister of Law Khurshid “the sun rises than Ayodhya: Nationality in our day” which was released on a function on Wednesday.
This book is about Ayodhya’s assessment from the Supreme Court who has been praised by Khurshid.
Azad’s decision to keep away from Khurshid is interesting considering that both are old colleagues in the party and in the central government.
But it might also show the inconvenience in a certain ranking of the party given that the controversy gave a BJP rival campaign to paint Congress as “anti-Hindu”.
When asked about Azad’s statement, Khurshid said, “Azad is an experienced person.
His statement was recorded carefully.” He said there was not much difference between him and Azad in the attitude they had taken.
“He also said that he did not agree with that ideology while I explained why we did not agree with that.
That’s all,” Khurshid said.
