A Christian group had taken objections to the title of a book written by actress Kareena Kapoor and filed a police complaint in Bed Maharashtra City against her and the other two on Wednesday, accused them of hurting the community’s religious sentiment, an official said.
Alpha Omega Christian Mahasaph President Ashish Shinde filed a complaint at the Shivaji Nagar Police Station in Beed over the book, who had the second author.
In complaints, Shinde has referred to the title of the book, ‘Pregnancy Bible’, written by Kareena Kapoor and Aditi Shah Bhimjani, and published by Juggernaut books.
The holy words of ‘The Bible’ have been used in books and this has injured Christianity sentiments, he said.
Shinde has searched for registration of cases under the IPC 295-A section (intentional and dangerous actions, intended to prevent religious feelings from any class by insulting religion or religious beliefs) against actress and two others.
A police official confirmed accepting complaints, but said no pine was asked.

Shivaji Nagar Police Station In-Charge Inspector Sainath Thombre said, “We have received complaints but no cases can be registered here because the incident has not happened here (in Beed).
