Anurag Kashyap directs the ‘ghost story’, which is part of the anthology of four films released on Netflix last year, facing complaints for its contents.
And this complaint is one that was first under information technology (guidelines for intermediaries and digital media ethics codes) Rule 2021 framed in February this year by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
According to this rule, the streaming platform is mandated to have a recovery mechanism to deal with the complaints of viewers and follow the same, a complaint has been received by Netflix India, which requires objections to certain scenes in the short film of Anurag Kashyap.
According to the news portal, the complainant has stated that the scene where Sobhita Dhulipala seemed to devour the fetus from the miscarriage is not needed for the story and that if the maker wants to save it, then there must be a warning trigger for women through trauma miscarriage.
The problem was suspended by Netflix’s complaint recovery officer.
‘Ghost Stories’, is the anthology of four short films directed by Zoya Akhtar, burned by Banerjee, Anurag Kashayp and Karan Johar.
It was released on New Year’s Day in 2020 and is a sequel to various ‘stories of lust’ Anthology 2018 Filmmakers.
