Navi Mumbai: The lobby of water tankers who illegally pump water from the site of the belipur close to the Shahbaz area in Navi, once again active in the region stole the city water.
After the complaint was submitted with Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), citizenship officials stated that they asked to take further action.
“Muta, I have noticed how some water tankers are parked close to the railroad tracks in the bellapur and use two suction pumps to steal city water with pipes connected to underground.
NMMC must take action on illegal activities,” said RTI activist Anarjit Chauhan, who also gave several photos clicked by water tankers.
He added that the use of water tankers was banned in the NMMC area, except for carrying water treated STP for other use, and not to drink.
Deputy engineer NMMC (Air) Lagdive said: “Previously, NMMC had confiscated several suction pumps from the site of the belorur.
This is the dirty water taken by the tanker.
I will ask local officials to ask more.”
