Complete tender for installing robot machines in GMCH: HC

Nagpur: Explaining some of the advantages of the Robotic Surgery Machine (RSS) Machine, Nagpur Bench High Court Bombay has directed the Maharashtra government to complete the tender process for the installation at the Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) within two weeks.
The direction came while hearing the petition submitted by Bhushan Shingne (no 3427/2000) and the other where Amicus Curiae Anup Gilda showed a lack of efforts to the government in the procurement of RSS.
The additional government applicant Deepak Thakre told that it would be a public interest that this tender process was canceled and newly floated for procurement and installation.
“We direct that the right decision about the re-tender is taken within seven days.
If the decision to tender again this problem is taken, the new tender must be layed within two weeks and the whole process will then be completed within four months,” the division bench said From Sunil Shukre and Anil Pansare.
“Because there are some RSS advantages and some of the unique features attached to it, it will be necessary for the country to take efforts in the direction of the initial RSS installation.
If this is done, millions of patients from Central India will greatly utilize.
We hope that this system will also help in Train the younger generation of surgeons, “added the bench.
The judge showed that on the one hand, there were patient complaints that RSS, although promised, was not installed over the past few years and on the other hand, there was something to resist the authorities to advance with the project at the desired speed.
“We argue that these problems can be resolved if the agents concerned gather at one table, discuss the problems faced and sort together as early as possible.
For this purpose, it is necessary for these institutions to hold and make appropriate decision, “they said.
In the last trial, HC has directed experts to hold meetings and discuss the issue responsible for the delay in the completion of the RSS tender process.
Thus, they met at the DMER office in Mumbai and took problems to be considered.
A copy of the meeting minutes with several documents was then submitted in court.
The judge told the government that if there was financial sanctions to increase the number of tender and technical permits for each modified specification needed, it must be given by the department concerned in a week.
“If there are additional funds that must be provided, it must be done without delay.
It will be an additional funds that have been directed to be reserved for the procurement of RSS and installation on our 21 October order,” they said.
