Mumbai: Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said the decision to reopen the school for the primary class to XII from Monday was taken after complete thinking was given to this problem.
The school was closed last month after a surge in Covid-19 cases throughout the state.
Talking to reporters in Jalna on Sunday, Tope said the school opening was needed for the development of children’s brains and was not true to keep them in the old house.
The reopening of the school is a risk or middle road, the state government decides to stop the spread of the virus and ensure children do not suffer.
“We have provided a lot of flexibility and also emphasizes that following the Covid-19 norm is a must,” said Minister, added that parents had to send their wards to school.
While the Covid-19 case has increased over the past few days, 90-95 percent of oxygen and blank ICU beds, he said, adding that restrictions will be eliminated if the inpatient level remains low.
The Minister also informed that 90 percent of beneficiaries that qualified in this country had taken the first dose of the Coronavirus vaccine, while the second dose coverage was in the range of 62-63 percent.
He, however, said some people had missed their second vaccine dose and health workers tried their best to get this section to overcome doubts.
