New Delhi: Ashwini Vaishnaw took over as the IT Minister, Communication and Train of the country and stressed that the company did business in India, including social media giants such as Twitter, need to comply with land law.
Vaishnaw, who replaced Ravi Shankar Prasad in communication and it, and pyush gouh on the train, said anyone who lived and worked in India must obey the rules of the country.
The minister’s new statement comes in the background of the struggle between the center and social media company, especially Twitter, for its new rules, which has pushed Prasad to take a difficult attitude.
The micro-blogging platform has failed to comply with the requirements to appoint compliance, complaints and nodal officers, something that was successfully carried out by its rival.
While the government was annoyed with non-compliance, which resulted in the loss of corporate immunity to third party content / posts, the court too, had taken a grim view of failure repeatedly by Twitter.
Comments, which came after a meeting of bureaucrats-entrepreneurs with BJP Secretary General (Organization) BL Santhosh, signaled the government’s intention to stand up.
Separately, after taking over as the train minister, said Vaishnaw, “the train is the main part of PM Modi’s vision.
The vision for the train is to change the life of the people, and ensure that everyone – from ordinary people to farmers and poor people – gets Benefits of the train.
I will work for it and will try to apply its vision.
“Vaishnaw also thanked PM to entrust him with this responsibility.
