PANAJI: The state government has transferred the application before the main justice of the Bombay High Court to carry out virtual hearing in appealing to the punishment of the additional session release Tehelka Tejpal from the demands.
The High Court has delayed hearing until September 20 after the State said that the bench would move the application for the hearing of virtual modes.
Additional PP Pravin Faldesai said that the problem was seeking leave to appeal against the orders of the release was waiting before the High Court.
“This case involves the release of the defendant in rape issues.
This case is very important for the state of the Goa and also the wider community, and has a broad consequence of the law and behavior of rape cases,” he said.
In this appeal, the state has been represented by Public Lawyers Tushar Mehta, based in Delhi.
Thus, because the High Court now hears physical problems, it is difficult for Mehta to travel to Goa to appear physically before the High Court, the application states.
The High Court, in the order of August 10, allows the parties to be involved to approach the main justice to present this request.
“This can be done through hearing video conferencing with continued justice and equity,” said the country.
On August 10, Tejpal’s advisor told the High Court that the appeal of the state challenged his “disabled” release on maintenance reasons, and was searched for that this case was heard in the camera.
