Cong, BJP Go Extra Mile to convince unsatisfied leaders in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Afraid of ideals who are not satisfied playing spoilsport against the official candidates who tower large, both Congress and BJP have intensified their efforts to suppress the rebellion in the party ranking.
The last-minute shift from the Secretary General of the Congress and former Head of the Minist of Uttarakhand Harish Harish from Ramnagar to Lalkuan Chair was also considered a step in this direction.
Changing Harish Rawat’s seat assumes the significance as the President of the State Workers of the Ranjit Hawk Party, also wants to compete from Ramnagar.
The High Congress Command did not succumb to his demands and instead set it from the constituency of the Salt Assembly, his old chair.
On the other hand, the former Cabinet Minister Harish Chandra Durgapal threatened to leave the party in protest against the Congress who had previously announced candidates for the Lalkuan Constitution, Sandhya Dalakoti.
After Harish nomination was confirmed from Lalkuan, Durgapal on Thursday said he would continue to work for Congress and “ensure a warrior”.
The party also changed his candidates in two other seats to persuade unsatisfied leaders – he lowered Gaurav Choudhary in the place of Mohit Uniyal from Dowala and Ravi Bahadur at Barkha Rani from Jalapur.
BJP has also intensified its efforts to prevent dissatisfied leaders from going against the party.
Almora BJP MLA and Deputy Speaker Raghunath Singh Chauhan, who vocal against the party’s decision to serve Kailash Sharma in its place, has threatened to leave the party and the contest as an independent candidate.
However, after talking to the senior leaders, he said he had changed his seat.
“I have been associated with BJP for the past 40 years and will campaign for parties,” he said.
Senior BJP leaders in the state, including the Head of the Minister of Pushkar Singh Dhami, managed to convince Tharali Mla Munni Munni Shah, who was annoyed at the party Fielding Bhopalram Tamta.
Sitting BJP Mla from Rudrapur Rajkumar Thukul on Thursday resigned from BJP’s main membership after being rejected by tickets.
Incumbent MLA from Jhabreda, Deshraj Karnwal was also reportedly annoyed by the party because he denied that the ticket.
However, the Vice President of BJP State Devendra Bhasin said there was no major hatred in the party and leaders struggling for the party landslide victory.
“If there is a small hatred, the party handles them and everything will be calm in a day or more,” he said.
