Jaipur: Congress will form the Zila Parishad board in two districts (Kariauli and Ganganagar), while BJP in two other districts (Baran and City).
Calculation for 106 members of Zila Parishad in four districts concluded on Tuesday.
The overall result has provided a clear edge to the powerful party with 62 seats, while BJP won a victory in 36 seats.
BJP’s poor performance was recorded in Ganganagar by winning only three seats from 31.
The district was one of the episentres of farmers who protested three agricultural laws that appeared to have helped the Congress who won 25 seats.
In Karawi too, Congress has secured a unilateral victory by winning 15 seats and BJP only won seven of the 27 seats.
BJP has a finishing photo in Baran by winning 13 chairs and Congress at 12.
The Safron party gets 13 seats, while the opposition gets 10 seats.
In Pancir Samiti results, the congress was far ahead of BJP by winning 278 and 165 seats, respectively.
Small-BSP and CPI (M) each gets 14 and 13 seats.
“The results have explained that people have chosen for the sake of the political social welfare scheme and development work.
Our party is set to make Pradhan in more than 20 Panchayat Samitis.
The results reflect that the congress is set to form its government in 2023,” said Govind Singh Dotasra, President of the Pradesh Congress Committee.
Calling the results of the ruling party, State President of BJP Satish Poonia said that the mandate in local agency polls showed that people were very angry with the Gehlot government led.
“Our party is set to get Zila Pramukh in the city and Baran.
Now, BJP will have Zila Pramukh in 19 of 33 districts show that people have chosen to support BJP,” said Poonia.
