Mumbai: Congress on Saturday urged the Head of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray to allow the Puja Chhath and directed BMC to build an artificial pond for Puja throughout the city.
In a letter to Cm Thackeray, the head of the Mumbai Congress Bhai Jagtap said that BMC must provide an artificial pond for Puja.
BMC has allowed the celebration of this year’s Puja Chhath in Mumbai but has asked worshipers to ‘avoid’ beaches and sea coast.
