PANAJI: State President of BJP Sadanand Shet Tanavade on Sunday said that the Congress has given an oath to his candidates in religious places because they do not trust themselves.
Tanavade asked why voters had to choose Congress candidates when the party itself did not have faith that they would survive with him.
“A congressional leader took all the party candidates to the temple, the church and mosque and gave them an oath that if they were chosen they would not leave the party.
Political parties should not pamper themselves in the action.

They did it because 17 was chosen in 2017 and now they are left with only two, “Tanavade said.
He said the action also showed that the congress was not confident to form a government.
“They knew that they could not get the majority of polls 2022 and BJP will win the election.
So they are worried that their candidates will leave them.
