Cong Slams Center not to allocate funds in the budget for paper mills

Silchar: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Thursday slammed the center not to allocate funds in the Union 2022-23 budget for the revival of two dead paper mills – Cachar paper factory and Nagaon paper factory – owned by Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd.apc General Secretary and Zonal Coordinator (Cell Media), Barak Valley, Sanjeev Roy said the factories had lied up for years, but the BJP government did not do anything other than to make “wrong” promises to revive them.
“Many main leaders of BJP, including PM Narendra Modi, home Minister Amit Shah, former Assam CM Sarbanou Sonowal, present CM Himanta Buswa Sarma, Rajdeep Roy Parliament Member and Kripathath Mall has provided guarantees, but it is Hogwash,” he said.
