Hyderabad: Former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir from Congress has warned the government of TRS to increase tariffs of power and RTC tariffs when people come out of the losses they suffer due to the first and second waves of Covid-19.
The current discussion occurs that the government has proposed to climb power rates and RTC bus ticket rates.
Congress will launch mass agitation if ordinary people will be burdened with the increase in electricity consumption costs and RTC bus ticket prices, he said.
“The key that is not planned because Covid-19 has a bad economy.
People have lost their work or their income dropped dramatically.
They have faced great economic problems because of the increase in fuel prices, commodities and other important services.
In this mountain , the increase in rates of power and RTC tariffs will break their backbone, “Shabbir Ali said.
The TRS leaders did not talk about the increase in rates of power or RTC tariffs until yesterday because of the selection of bye huzurabad.
Now after the selection of bye is complete, the Government TRS may not dare to increase the power and cost of the RTC bus, he said.
Congress leader said the Congress would undergo a legal battle, if needed, to maintain the interests of rice farmers in Telangana.
Farmers will suffer big losses if they choose alternative plants other than rice.
He said if the Food Corporation of India (FCI) refused to buy rice, the state government had to buy plants.
“The Government TRS took loans from Rs 4 Lakh Crore on behalf of irrigation and other projects.
Most of the loans were taken to make payments to contractors.
But CM KCr was not willing to spend money to help farmers by giving them compensation or buying their agricultural products in MSP,” He said.
