Lucknow: The BJP government is trying to destroy the unity of farmers who protest the Central Agriculture Act by using the name Freedom Fighter King Mahendra Pratap Singh, said the Congress accused the ruling party playing “Casteist” politics.
The party statement came on the day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Aligarh put a university foundation stone, which would be named by Freedom Fighter.
The Hilal Congress spokesman here also said Freedom Fighter called RSS Fascas and struggled throughout his life against it.
In fact, in 1957 parliamentary elections, King Mahendra Pratap did not only beat the Atal Bihari Vajpayee but also ensured that his deposits were scorched, said the leader of the Congress.
“Troubled by the siege of farmers, the MOD government in the center and the Yogi government above, instead of attracting anti-farmer agriculture laws, wanted to break their unity by playing a Casteist card by calling King Mahendra Pratap Jat King,” Hilal said.
Congress spokesman said after placing a university foundation stone in Aligarh, PM Modi said the revolutionary who was not respected previously given respect now.
But BJP has remembered King Mahendra Pratap only now, just a few months before the polls of the Assembly, he said.
If this stone foundation was put in a few years ago, the university will be inaugurated today, he said.
In the eyes of BJP, the Hilal said, every major personality is only “pawn” in his arithmate.
“BJP politics contradicts the ideals of Pratap Mahendra King.
BJP is consistently harvested by making Hindus and Muslims fight while King Mahendra Pratap wants India where Hinduism and Muslims live like you,” he said.
