BHubaneswar: The State Union Minister for Ajay Mishra’s house, who was in the eyes of the storm after the arrest of his son for the violence of Lakimpur Kheri, faced Congress’s anger during his visit to Odisha on Sunday.
Activist National Student Association (NSUI) violated Mishra-enriched convoy and threw eggs in his car outside the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.
The police detained several protesters of NSUI, who also waved a black flag at Minister Mishra, who was in Odisha to attend the event in Munduli in Cuttack.
The Union Minister is likely to visit Puri too.
The son of Minister of Ashish Mishra was arrested on October 9 in connection with the violence that erupted in Lakhimpur Kheri Uttar Pradesh in October 3.
The vehicle part of Mishra’s convoy was allegedly running in a group of protesters, killing four farmers.
At least eight people were killed in the incident, which then triggered national violence and anger.
