Congress delegation to Nagaland stopped at Jorhat Airport

According to the information available with the Jorthat government, along with three leaders of Congress, Lok Sabha MP Anto Antony is also scheduled to arrive at Jorhat on Wednesday.
“Our congressional delegation, who will leave for Mon today, has been detained.
If there are legal problems and order, Nagaland police will stop us from entering Nagaland.
Why did the Assam police stop us in Jorhat?” question Singh.
He sniffed the conspiracy and alleged that the government was worried that the congressional delegation would explore the truth and reveal it to the nation.
Lok Sabha MP from Kalibibur in Assam, Gogoi, called restrictions on their movements as an attack on democracy.
He blamed the Minister of Sehoan, Amit Shah, and Minister of Assam’s minister for allegedly banning his entry to Nagaland.
“We held Dharna to the government to curb our democratic rights.
We will entertain families who lost their members in Monday’s shot,” Gogoi said.
Meanwhile, opposition leaders in the Assembly Assembly and CLP leaders, Debabrata Saikia, demanded that the state government make a decision to attract the Special Strength of Armed Forces (AFSPA), which is being blamed for the death of villagers in Mon.
All over the northeastern region erupted in protest and demanded the withdrawal of ‘Draconian’ AFSPA so that incidents such as Mon were not repeated in the region.
“Nagaland and MeGhalaya government cabinets have decided to attract AFSPA.
In such situations, the Assam government must also attract the law,” Saikia said.
The body of the leading student, Northeast student organization, will protest throughout the region on Thursday demanding justice for civilian casualties and AFSPA withdrawals.
