Rajkot: An old political competition allegedly caused the murder of a leader of his congress and his son in the city of Morbi on Wednesday night.
The police said that Motlani Farooq was 54 years old and his 24-year-old Imtiyaz son was killed in front of their door by five people with whom the leader of the Congress had Tiff a few years ago during the Pancrayat election.
Farooq was Vice President Morbi Municipality during the past.
During the election of Panchayat, Farooq and Rafiq pause are political rivals.
They are in Loggerhead since the polls, police said.
The duo of the fathers used to live in Madina Society in the City of Morbi’s Visipara area.
While Farooq is a real estate developer, Imtiyaz has a garment store.
Farooq’s wife Razia filed a complaint against Rafiq Pause, Asgar Bhatti, Jusab Bhatti, Ashif Sumra and Moin Davalia for double murder.
Around 8:30 a.m.
on Wednesday, Farooq was at home when he got a call from Rafiq who bravely the leader of the Congress to come out, police said.
“As soon as Farooq opened the door, he was attacked by Rafiq and his men with knives and other sharp weapons.
When Farooq’s son, Imtiyaz tried to intervene, he was also attacked.
Then the attackers escaped from the place,” said an official of a police officer .
Farooq and Imtiyaz, both were seriously injured, rushed to a private hospital in Morbi.
But both gave up on injury.
