Congress offers olive branches to G23, to let Netas maintain the main post

New Delhi: In what appear to be an olive branch for “letter writer” and further encouragement for reconciliation in-house, Congress has reached G23 members who lead the AICC department with the delicate messages they live in.
Party sources say AICC management contacted these leaders and tried to find out whether they were interested in continuing their organizational responsibilities.
The subtext is that they must.
Learned that Senior Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor will remain at the Chair of the ‘AICC Professional Congress’ department.
Chairman of the AICC Department of Law and Human Rights, Vivek Tankha has retreated.
Anand Sharma is likely to continue as Chair of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The source said it was not clear whether Sharma was approached because he was also a member of the Congress Work Committee.
Outreach is seen as an effort to know the minds of G23 members and to convince them.
This step suggests that there is an organizational rejig on the card.
Congress must fill several empty AICC departments, such as those for SCS, STS and OBC.
West Bengal and Gujarat need a new manager after leaving Jitin Prasada and the death of Rajiv Satav.
