MySuru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committance who works President R Dhruvanarayana on Sunday said the party aims to strengthen its base at the grassroots level by registering 60 Lakh members during sustainable membership trips throughout the country.
Speaking to reporters after inaugurating a sensitization workshop on digital membership drive in Congress Bhavan, he said the party decided to register 100 members from each booth and at least 25,000 of each assembly segment.
The party initiated a digital membership drive because it helped get clear details from members by clicking on the mouse, he said.
People are upset about the error of the BJP government in the state while the Congress wave swept the country.
Party activists must highlight the failure of the state government in addition to trying to bring the party back to power, he said.
The Deputy Legislative Leader of Congress at the UT Khadar Assembly said the party would appreciate the party workers involved in this membership drive so back in power in the state.
