Guwahati: Chairman of Minister of Himanta’s Minister of Himanta Buswa Sarma that shooting criminals who try to escape the detention or rifle of service seize “supposed patterns” have dangerous consequences from behind Assam to “police states” by making law enforcers triggering and ignoring human rights, The Head of the State Congress of Ripun Bora said on Friday.
The minister’s chairman has issued the statement on July 5 while confirming a series of meetings, where at least 12 alleged rebels and criminals were killed, because he assumed the office, triggered the slugfest politics in the state.
“Sarma must be aware that the Supreme Court and the Gazutal High Court have decided that no matter how fear of criminals, they must be captured alive and the police do not have the right to open fire on charges or kill them at will,” Bora told reporters here.

Sarma previously said that all MLA opposition must join BJP as “what would they do on the opposition bench for five years?” “Such information only reflects total negligence for the entire democratic process, and shows its belief in autocratic dictatorship,” he said.
